Wheels & Tyres
Cleaning and protecting your cars wheels, tyres and arches can be a quick and simple process when regularly maintained. It can also be a big job getting them back to freshly detailed condition if they are not protected and maintained.
By following a few foundation principles you should get the best results every time!
Top Tips:
- Order of Use
- Be Thorough
- Final Touches
Order of Use: For regular maintenance on protected wheels a pH neutral cleaner like Lemon Ice is the enthusiast's favourite, great for wheels and tyres. Oblivion concentrated alkaline wheel cleaner is the most cost efficient and favoured by professionals, great for wheels and tyres. Redemption is a fallout remover, for intermittent use between deep cleans, intended for use on wheels and painted surfaces. HCl is an acid based wheel cleaner, the heavyweight for tackling the toughest buildup.
Be Thorough: Use multiple cleaning methods. A small brush for faces, a barrel brush for harder to reach areas, and a microfibre towel for a final wipe down and dry to ensure nothing has been missed.
Final Touches: After cleaning, all surfaces can be dressed, coated, waxed or sealed. For glossy tyres look at Aqua Gloss, For Satin, try Slick. For a darkening OEM inside and out, Recovery is an all rounder for any rubber or plastic surfaces that offers a sealing layer of protection.
